"Helping Alabama Florists' Become The Best They Can Be"

"We Are Glad You Found Us"
The goal of the ASFA was established a few years ago to help us stay focused on our top priority:

"Help Alabama Florists' Become The Best They Can Be"

Will You Be A Survivor Or A Statistic In 2009?
Will You Be A Participant Or A Sideliner In 2009?
Statistics And Sideliners Will Not Be At
ASFA Convention 2009
Which Side Are You On?

These might seem like serious or harsh questions to be promoting a florist convention.  They are not intended to offend but to be an eye opener during these times of uncertainty.  Statistics prove that businesses who are involved and active with like minded businesses learning about their industry have a very high success rate. On the other hand those who think they have learned all they need to know are the ones who grow stagnant and eventually dry up and are gone.

Here is what some had to say after ASFA Convention 2008:

“This year's Alabama State Florist Convention was absolutely fabulous.  What a great way to network with other florists, learn what's new in designing and discuss ways to make money.  I wish I had all my designers there to witness one of the few times a year florists can be together and be "face to face" with people they talk to on the phone and finally get to meet.  The group was very orgainized and ran a professional show. Looking forward seeing many more florist at the next convention and other design events.”

Gus Pappas, Norton’s Florist, Birmingham, AL

“Alice In Floraland was fun, refreshing, and motivating.  Very informative and impressive.  I think I have run out of adjectives.  The time and care the ASFA puts forth on our behalf is UNBELIEVABLE and very appreciated.”

April Kimbrel,  Burkes Florist, Cullman, AL

“The 2008 ASFA Convention was very informative and fun.  Great Shows!  You always learn something new, no matter how long you have been designing.”

Sheri Farrell, Sarah’s Flowers, Pelham, AL

“I had an event on Saturday night and didn’t get in bed until about 1:30ish.  I always love to come to Convention because I always learn “Something”.  Sooo, Sunday morning my husband drove me to Birmingham to Convention.  Kristine Kratt had already begun.  After I sat down, I was so glad I made a sacrifice and got out of bed.  She was awesome.  Moreover, the afternoon designer, Cindy Tole was fantastic, she brought out the story of Alice In Floraland.  Great Job.”

Diane Rowell, Something Ele’Gant, Florence, AL

“This was my first Convention and I have really enjoyed it.  I have learned so much and have gotten some great tips.  We learned some new ways to use things and incorporate then into my designs.  THANKS Alabama State Florist Association for all the hard work.”

Gay Gaither, Gaither’s Florist, Talladega, AL
